Game development

Background

The Steel Minions Game Studio was created in 2010 in order to provide students on Hallam's game development degrees with 'workplace simulation' within a studio environment.

Our small (but perfectly formed) studio is based in Sheffield Hallam's science park, close to Sheffield train station.

Students are chosen to work in the studio based on merit, and the projects that they work on are often integrated into assessments as part of their degrees.

What we do

We're passionate about making games, eager to please and our rates are very reasonable. We're capable of creating games for a range of platforms including browser/Facebook games in HTML5, iOS games in Unity, or prototypes of games for console platforms such as PSP, PS3 and PS4. If you have a project that you would like us to work on then get in contact with us.

We really value working on real-world projects but, if your project is very time-critical or highly confidential then we may not be the best option for you, as we generally integrate any work undertaken in the studio into the student's degree assessments.
